Curcumin is the active ingredient found in Turmeric. Concentrated curcumin extracted from Turmeric far more potent than what you get from just taking the spice.

Curcumin has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties and can be taken in higher doses for acute pain and injuries. It helps heal wounds quicker by increasing cellular proliferation and collagen synthesis.
